At the Photoshop World conference, Adobe presented a version of Photoshop running on the iPad, which could provide the tablet with real Photoshop image editing capabilities. Unlike the largely filter-based Photoshop Express, the new version allows users to add, or switch to, or edit layers in an isometric view in order to display the different layers simultaneously. Doctor’s iPad adoption supported in part by the government of USA

The iPad adoption by medical staff could be fostered by reimbursements coming from the United States government, which is operating the Meaningful Use, a program that allows hospitals and doctors to claim Medicaid and Medicare expenses when they buy specific technology. The goal of this initiative is to facilitate migration to electronic records and reduce costs, at least theoretically, but also improve the quality of the service.

Xbox 360’s spring update to add 1GB of storage

The new format of the Xbox 360 disc is providing 1GB of storage back and is making it free for games, says a development source. Current games on the Xbox 360 have to reserve a DVD video partition for measures to avoid piracy. The usable space is therefore limited to 6.8GB

Google +1 officially launched, boosts searches found useful

Google recently launched the long rumored Google +1 feature. The add-on is similar to Reddit or Digg and allows people with Google accounts to recommend search results by simply making a click on the namesake +1 button. This way, searches that users find useful will be boosted and will get more relevance from friends

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia acro comes to Japan with 1Seg TV and NFC

Sony Ericsson has given hints of its upcoming smartphone, the Xperia acro. The device has been noticed among other new phones shown in the Sony Ericsson PC Companion software tool, which accompanies the new smartphones. The phone I very similar to another phone released recently, the Xperia arc.

The Home Server team announced a few days ago that the Windows Home Server 2011, initially known as Vail, would be available for evaluation in early April. The release version has got the approval. The software would allow files and data to be accessible and organized from anywhere and backup made automatically.

According to a recent AlphaWise/Morgan Stanley survey, Apple is managing quite well in the phone industry in China. Among the 2,029 Chinese users of cellphones interviewed in February and March, 88 percent claimed they would buy a smartphone as their next phone.

Gamer transforms iPad into peripheral for DCS A-10C

A gamer has started a project to transform the iPad into a peripheral for the DCS A-10C combat flight sim. The iControl DCA application is using the iPad to replace several instruments that would need the in-game camera moving away from the outside environment. The implementation used by Boarder 2 member of Shacknews is based on Wi-Fi transmission of enough data to show live info from the MFCDs (Multi Function Control Displays), but also provides control of buttons in real time
