LG, Motorola and others allegedly copied Oracle code

An investigation conducted by Florian Mueller has shown that important Android phone producers were using allegedly copied code from Java. Source code distributions for Droid Pro and other Droid versions belonging to Motorola, Samsung’s Galaxy devices that include the Galaxy Tab and the Ally and Optimus devices from LG all incorporate at least a part of the code

RIM will censor porn content on BlackBerry to comply with Indonesian laws

Research in Motion faces another ultimatum coming from a government related to the use of BlackBerry’s services. The Indonesian government threatens to shut down its browsing service if pornographic Internet content is not filtered properly. RIM has agreed to the request of Indonesian officials who have also requested that the smartphone maker opens a local server, similar to requests of other countries like India, to be able to access its encrypted data.
